Hedonizt in endurance competition at Egholm Castle in Denmark!

Hedonizt, our 5 year old stallion (Samsheik US - Relacja / Algorytm), completed the Egholm ride 45km in very good style. He finished 5th, going in a pace of 12,8km/h. He´s heart rate was 36 at start, 44 in vetgate and 56 after finishing. He drank and behaved well and we are happy to now have him qualified for 80km for his 6-year season next year. For the serious endurance rider, Hedonizt is for sale.

Our girls, Mondiale Kossack and LL Misha, travelled well from Poland and did a nice canter work today at the Blommeröd track. After this, they got a well deserved bath in Ringsjön.

Hedonizt breezed through his first Clear Round!

Today, 5 year old stallion Hedonizt (Samsheik US - Relacja/Algorytm) breezed through his very first Clear Round at the beautiful Simlång ride. The ride was 48,5km and he went in a relaxed pace of 11,43km/h. He behaved very good and had no remarks in the vet gates. We where very happy to see that he drank very good during the whole ride and kept a good forward spirit. Hedonizt is for sale.
We also follow Hedonizt´s full brother Rebel Yell, born 2003. He is in training with national team rider Ingrid Boström and has done a very good first season this year so far. Last weekend he was 2nd at the 80km Rimbo ride, keeping a pace of 16,1km/h. A month before this he won another 80km ride in the same pace and another month earlier he was part of the team winning the 120km Swedish team nationals, plaicing 9th individually.

Our girls are coming home to race!

Our girls, Mondiale Kossack and LL Misha, are coming home from Poland in a few days. Mondiale is entered for the 2400m Scandinavian Derby where she she will be ridden by leading champion jockey Fredrik Johansson. It will be a full field with 15 horses. Derby day is on the 9th of august and the track is Jägersro in Malmö. LL Misha, we think will go the 1600m Rookie Run at the Gothenburg race track on the 16. of august. Hope to see them sound and happy at our farm on tuesday!

Mondiale Kossack - winner today!

Mondiale Kossack (Madiar SU - Milia SU/Parusnik SU) won a race over 2000m today. She got the lead from the beginning and stayed there the whole race through, winning with 2 legths. She was ridden by Conny Fraisl and we are of course very very proud of them both!

Double U El Tanam 2nd at Jägersro race track!

The son of our mare El Garbo, Double U El Tanam, was 2nd at the Jägersro race track today in the 2400m race. He was beaten by 4-year old Sanovagan, who for sure will be a favorite bet for the Derby on the 9th of august! Double U El Tanam is 5 this year. Last year he was 2nd in the Derby, beaten by Sayf FR. So far he has the results 2/8(2-2-2).

Rebel Yell District Championships winner of Stockholm!

Rebel Yell, the full brother of our Hedonizt, won the 80km District Championships of Stockholm yesterday. Rider was Terese Compier and the average speed was 16,01km/h.

Today, our LL Misha (Voronez Kossack NL - Milia SU/Parusnik SU) made her debute at the racetrack, finishing 4th in the 1800m race.

Team gold medal for Rebel Yell!

In the Swedish team Championships over 100km, Rebel Yell (Samsheik - Relacja / Algorytm) was part of the winning team, placing 9th individually. Rebel Yell is the full brother of our 5 year old stallion Hedonizt and we are of course very happy for Rebel Yell´s success! He was ridden by Amanda Rehnström in an average speed of 15,5km/h.

Jens Lyn is the son of our Cleese (and out of Golmohar/Gokart) and we where very happy to hear that he carried his rider Tove Andersson to a first place in a good pace of 15,8km/h in last weekends "Greveritten".

A 5th place for Mondiale Kossack today

Today we had Mondiale Kossack on a 5th place in the 1800m
handicap race. The track was very heavy after yesterdays massive
rain wich favoured todays winner Makat, carrying only 45kg. (Mondiale
58,5kg). Mondiale will now have a weeks rest on the pastures and
will start again in 3-4 weeks. Then it hopefully soon will be time
to give LL Misha (Voronez Kossack NL- Milia RU/ Parusnik RU) her
first race too. Sceduleled to debute in the beginning of july. She
has gone totally dark in her coat colour and red instead of last
years blond mane and tail! Check

Mondiale Kossack 2nd again!

Again, Mondiale Kossack (Madiar RU - Milia RU/ Paruznik
RU) made a 2nd place in todays race, 1800m. This time she carried
61kg. She had 1,75 lengths to winning Cenoza, but 8 lengts to the
3rd horse, Putinka. She was ridden, as always, by Conny Fraisl.

The same day, another Madiar-related horse made a debute and won.
It was Vasyli Kossack who won his first race. Vasylis mother Vydumka
is a Madiar-doughter. (Madiar is the son of very successful Drug)

Neiron
(RU) winner at Jägersro!

Neiron,
the father of our LL Gabi (out of El Garbo/Eldorado), is still an
active race horse. Yesterday he won the Riyal Arabian Sprint with
4 leghts, leading from start to finnish.
Neiron is a french-russian cross by Dormane-son Nougatin out of the russian mare Nevidal by Drug.

Mondiale Kossack (Madiar RU - Milia RU/ Paruznik) made
her first start this year at the Warszaw race track today. The challange
was 1800m amongst a very strong field. Mondiale as the only filly
had a tuff job to do but did it very well. She finished as number
2 after one of last seasons best horses, Bont DE, beaten by 1,5
lengths. She had 4 lengths down to horse number 3, also a strong
horse from last years season, Carevic. Mondiale was ridden as always
by Conny Fraisl. See

Hedonizt made his first endurance start

Today, young stallion Hedonizt made his first ever endurance
start at Vedema 33kmPP. As a 5-year old he is only allowed to start
PP and CR classes and his debute went perfect. He behaved well,
drank like a pro and had a nice steady pace of 10km/h.

Hedonizt is back!

Last friday Hedonizt came back after 2 years in race training
in Poland. We sent a young lad and got back a mature, well mannered,
beautiful stallion in super condition! He adapted well at home and
enjoys his new pasture, right now covered in snow. Next step for
Hedonizt is a couple of months of dressage training before we slowly
begin his endurance education. It will be a true pleasure! Hedonizt
is by Samsheik US out of Relacja by Algorytm.

Milia completed this seasons last endurance ride!

Today it was the first strong autumn storm, together with
drowning rain. Not the best conditions for a beach ride, we can
say for sure. Was I lucky to have a partner like Milia out there!
She did not care about any of that, she carried me through raging
ocean waves, smashing rain and flooded paths in good temper without
even flicking for any of it. Tankyou Milia for making an extremly
hard day very easy for me! Big heart and no nerves! 51km was the
ride and Milia made it in 11,1km/h, always with good heart rate
and vitals. While the weather was at it´s wearst, nobody could
bring out a camera, so these pictures are actually from the part
with the good weather...

Amanda participated in her first endurance event!

Today Amanda participated in her first endurance event
ever. It was an educational ride at Hovdala castle. She made a ride
of 20km with rider Anisette Magnusson. She did very well and we
are looking forward to see her do her first 50km soon. For company
at her first event we brought her Milia, the calmest and wisest
lady in the stable. Milia was ridden by Caroline Holmqvist,
Amanda and Milia at Hovdala 20km educational ride.

Hedonizt 4th today!

Today Hedonizt made a 4th place in a field of 10 horses.
The track was very heavy due to massive raining. Rider today was
jockey trainee Paula Król, who is working with our trainer.

2 straight winns. This time french Sayf beat him to the finish line,

Victory for Mondiale Kossack in her second start ever!

What a finish! What a horse! Mondiale rested far back in
the field near the rail the first 1200 meters - then rider Conny
Fraisl asked for speed, and did she get it! Wow! After another 400
meters she crossed the finish line 1st, 2,5 lengts before number
two Negri and number 3 Ama. We are so proud of her! 1/2(1-1-0) Mondiale
is by Madiar (Drug - Martinika) out of our Milia SU (Parusnik -
Modaya) See

El Waldo joined the program riding day at Willands!

Last weekend El Waldo was showed at the program ridning
day at Willands by rider Anisette Magnusson. He had improved a lot
since last time and the judge complimented his progress a lot. He
showed in the LC:2 program.

Mondiale Kossack placed 2nd in her first start!

In her first start ever, Mondiale Kossack placed second,
beaten by 1,1/4 lengths. Down to nr 3 there were another 5 lenghts.
The race was one of 2 maiden races for 3 year olds, one exclusivly
for fillies and one that whas open for both stallions and fillies.
Mondiale started as only filly in the mixed race and made us very
proud, showing a finish speed that impressed!
Both Mondiale and Hedonizt, who also started today, had to do last
second jockey changes. Conny Fraisl, who was suposed to ride them
both, took a bad fall the race before Hedonizt´s race and
could not ride any more races this day. For Hedonizt this ment that
a replacement jockey was found only minutes before start and the
race did not go well. He ended as number 6 today. They both are
scheduled to start again in 3 weeks.

Milia completed another 50km ride!

Today Milia completed another 50km ride, this time at the
Ekelund ride. It was a very hot day and Milia did a good job in
the heat. It was her 3rd 50km ride and she did it in a nice pace;
10,7km/h. We happily noticed her good heart rate at the vet gates
and her total coolness in the resting area. (She took a nap in the
grass after the ride!)

El Garbos son a winner in his first race!
El Garbos son Double U El Tanam (by Om El Tanam) won in his first
start ever, a 1600m dirttrack race at Täby, 2008-05-15. He
won with 3,5 lengths. Second was Nadjinjah (by Pamir) and third
(17,5m behind) was TopSpeed Kossack. Owners to Double U El Tanam
are Åsa Borger & Alvydas Urniezius.

Changed racing plans for the race horses

Finally the races begin in Warzaw, so we changed the race
plans. Mondiale Kossack will not start tomorrow in Breslow as planned.
Instead we wait for her to start in Warsaw at the 28th of june.
There she will start in a 1600m race for fillies. The same day Hedonizt
will make his seasons debute, also in a 1600m race.

Pamorina got a great colt by Daffaq this night!

This night Pamorina (Pamor - Natasjah / Angel) gave birth
to a big well built colt. Proud daddy is Daffaq GB (Dormane - Palas
/ Empala).
This completes the 2008 foaling season at Limelight. We got 3 fillies
and 1 colt. We are very thankful for everyone of them.

Victory for El Waldo at Vedema 53km endurance race!

Today El Waldo won the Vedema 53km endurance race! Rider
Anisette Magnusson, had a tuff job pacing him but did a great job!
After a little bit of a finish ride El Waldo crossed the finish
line first, doing the 53km in 03.09.57 giving an average speed of
16,74km/h. Winning this race also ment winning the Blommeröd
Arabian Stud Endurance Trophy wich we of course are very proud of!
Now El Waldo will rest until next weekend. Then it will be time
for him to get aqainted with our mare Relacja since we hope for
a lovely baby from these two strong horses next year!
